MSHeli Brain2 Mini Flybarless System

The MSH Brain2 Mini delivers the full performance and advanced features of the Brain2 flybarless system in a compact package designed for installations where space is limited. Its vertical servo connectors make it especially well suited to narrow helicopter frames and smaller models, while retaining the same flight-control performance and tuning capabilities as the larger Brain2 units.

Brain2 Mini supports a wide range of receiver systems, advanced telemetry, electric and nitro/gasser governors, Rescue, vibration analysis, flight logging, transmitter integration, and extensive tuning options.

Event Logging

Brain2 continuously monitors important events during operation and stores them for later review. Event logs can help confirm proper system operation and provide valuable information when troubleshooting setup, power or radio-related issues.

Vibration Logging & Analysis

Brain2 records vibration data throughout the flight, helping you identify possible mechanical issues originating from the motor, main rotor, tail or other rotating components. Reviewing vibration data can make troubleshooting significantly easier and help confirm that the helicopter is operating smoothly.

Flight Data Logging

Brain2 can record more than 50 available parameters, including voltage, receiver quality, throttle output, RPM, vibration, transmitter inputs, cyclic rates, tail rate and pitch data. These logs are useful for governor tuning, checking BEC performance, monitoring radio quality and reviewing how the helicopter performed during flight.

Rescue

The Brain2 Rescue function can recover the helicopter from an unwanted orientation by stabilizing the model and applying collective pitch to help move it away from the ground. It is a useful safety aid for newer pilots and for experienced pilots practicing unfamiliar maneuvers.

Mobile & PC Configuration

Brain2 can be configured and tuned using Windows, Android or iOS applications. This allows setup changes to be made at the workbench or at the flying field. The Brain2 Mini does not have a built-in USB connector; a remote USB interface is included.

Configuration Wizard

The Brain2 setup wizard guides you through receiver selection, servo setup, swashplate configuration, governor settings and other essential parameters. Preset starting points are available for different helicopter sizes to help simplify the initial setup.

Advanced Governor

Brain2 includes an advanced governor for electric, nitro and gasoline-powered helicopters. Rotor speed can be controlled over a wide range, and the built-in logging functions provide useful data for fine-tuning governor performance. Autorotation bailout is also supported for rapid RPM recovery.

Flight Counters

Built-in flight counters can track the total number of flights on the helicopter as well as the usage of individual components such as belts, gears and other service items.

Advanced Tuning

For pilots who want more control over the setup, Brain2 provides access to extensive tuning parameters for cyclic, tail, governor and overall flight response. Supported transmitter systems can also adjust many Brain2 parameters directly from the radio.

Receiver & Telemetry Support

Brain2 Mini supports a wide range of modern receiver protocols, including Spektrum SRXL2, Futaba S.Bus / S.Bus2, Jeti EX-BUS, Graupner SUMD, FrSky F.Port / F.Bus, JR X-Bus, ELRS / Crossfire, FlySky i-Bus and others.

ESC telemetry is supported with many popular brands, including Hobbywing, Spektrum, Castle Creations, Scorpion, Kontronik, YGE, OMP, ZTW, ZDFly, Align and compatible BLHeli_32 / AM32 systems. Depending on the radio and receiver combination, telemetry such as battery voltage, current, RPM and other power-system data can be transmitted back to the transmitter.
