SteamRC A-BF Soldering Tip Restorer

STEAM A-BF Soldering Tip Restorer is a rosin-containing cleaning and re-tinning compound designed to restore oxidized or poorly performing soldering-iron tips. It helps remove surface oxidation and residue while coating the heated tip with fresh solder, improving heat transfer and solder flow during RC electronics assembly and repair.

Usage Instructions

1. Heat the soldering iron to its normal operating temperature.
2. Remove loose debris from the tip using brass wool or a suitable soldering-tip cleaner.
3. Gently press or rotate the heated tip in the restoring compound for a few seconds.
4. Allow the compound to melt and coat the working surface of the tip.
5. Remove the tip and wipe it gently on brass wool or a slightly damp soldering sponge.
6. Apply a small amount of fresh solder to leave the tip evenly tinned.
7. Repeat the process when necessary if oxidation remains.

Important: Use only in a well-ventilated work area, as heated rosin flux may produce fumes. Avoid breathing the fumes directly. The soldering tip and restoring compound become extremely hot during use. Do not touch heated surfaces, and keep the product away from children and flammable materials.

Tip: This product is intended for occasional restoration of oxidized tips. During normal soldering, regularly clean and re-tin the tip to help prevent heavy oxidation from forming.
