SAB ilGoblin 590 – The Unique Evolution Continues
The new SAB ilGoblin 590 brings the latest ilGoblin engineering into the popular 580–600 class — combining a lightweight carbon structure, exceptionally strong drivetrain and easy-access electronics layout in a compact, aggressive machine.
Designed for both 6S and 12S power systems, the ilGoblin 590 gives pilots the flexibility to build anything from an efficient everyday flyer to a powerful, high-performance 3D setup.
What Makes the ilGoblin 590 Special?
Rather than simply scaling down a larger helicopter, SAB packed the 590 with many of the engineering concepts found in the newest ilGoblin generation.
Lightweight & Rigid Carbon Structure
The main frame uses 1.2mm high-density compressed carbon, paired with a high-rigidity carbon tail boom manufactured using high-pressure molding technology. The result is a strong and precise airframe without unnecessary weight.
Overbuilt Drivetrain
At the heart of the 590 is SAB's heavy-duty "Eternal" gearbox with helical gears and an oversized one-way bearing located directly on the main shaft. The 10mm main shaft is supported by three bearings for excellent rigidity and drivetrain reliability under hard 3D loads.
Precision Rotor Head
The adjustable rotor head features self-centering titanium blade washers and a refined control system designed to deliver the precise, direct response expected from a modern Goblin.
Fast & Practical Battery System
The rear-loading battery tray with quick-release system makes battery changes fast and convenient. With approximately 50 × 60 × 300mm of battery room, the 590 accommodates both 6S and 12S configurations.
Integrated connectors and thoughtful wire-routing support also help keep installations clean and make everyday maintenance easier.
Flexible Electronics Layout
The ilGoblin 590 is designed around three mini cyclic servos with a standard-size tail servo, while standard cyclic servo mounting is available as an option. Multiple FBL mounting positions give builders additional flexibility when choosing electronics.
Why Choose the ilGoblin 590?
- Compact 580–600 class size with serious 3D performance
- 6S or 12S flexibility to suit different flying styles and budgets
- Strong, lightweight carbon construction
- Heavy-duty helical gear drivetrain designed for high-power setups
- Rear quick-release battery system for fast battery changes
- Modern ilGoblin engineering in a more practical everyday size
For pilots who want the performance and engineering of the latest ilGoblin platform without moving to a full 700-class machine, the ilGoblin 590 hits a very attractive sweet spot.
